Warning over how care homes manage residents money
The family of a man from Leicester is warning others to be aware of how care homes manage the finances of residents.
It’s after the care home watchdog found fault with how Ian Reeve’s money was handled by Marston Court care home and Leicester City Council.
Ian died in 2021 but questions are still being asked about what happened to some of the money that was supposed to improve his life.
Leicestershire Police have told the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ that the investigation is currently being reviewed by the force’s Economic Crime Unit.
Simon Ward investigates.

A Leicester City Council spokesperson apologised for the management of Ians finances following the ombudsman's report last February. They say they've acted on the ombudsman's recommendations and updated their practices to make sure it doesn't happen again.
