Bill Shankly: Phil Thompson remembers the legend
On the 14th December 1959, Bill Shankly was appointed as the manager of Liverpool Football Club.
He was the founding father of the modern Liverpool and took them from the old second division, to periods of incredible success in the 60's and 70's.
