Charity shop find is work by famous artist
The Henry Moore sketch sat on the owner’s wall for twenty years. She only had it valued as an afterthought when taking some other items to Forum Auctions. Having assumed it was a print, the potential value of the piece was revealed when it was removed from its frame and the Hertfordshire sculptor’s signature was discovered. Forum’s cataloguer Eleanor Garthwaite tells the story. Photo: Courtesy Forum Auctions.
