Fatima Whitbread: 'A lot of our young care leavers will be sitting alone' this Christmas.
Fatima Whitbread spent the first 14 years of her life in children's homes after being abandoned as a baby.
She went on to break the javelin world record and win world and European championship golds.
The Helen Rollason Award recognises outstanding achievement in the face of adversity.
Now the Olympic medallist campaigns to ensure kids in the care system are "seen, heard and valued".
Fatima says a lot of children in the care system won’t get to experience of opening Christmas presents and eating dinner around loved ones.
