Hiker pledge to repay charity that saved him
A Loughborough hiker has pledged to raise funds for the volunteers who he says he 'owes' his life to.
During a hike in Castleton in the Peak District, Matt Hopper fell down a 15ft steep incline. He broke three ribs, suffered internal bleeding, a punctured, collapsed right lung, with injuries to his right shoulder and was unable to drive for two months following his injuries.
Edale Mountain Rescue Team is based in Derbyshire came to the rescue and Matt now wants to raise funds for the Charity that saved his life:
