On this day: 20th Mar 1966 - World Cup stolen in Westminster
On the 20th of March 1966, the football World Cup was stolen while on exhibition at Central Hall in Westminster. The £3,000 solid gold trophy was found in a hedge one week later near the home of David Corbett - as he was out walking his dog, Pickles in South Norwood.
