Village ‘let down’ by incomplete flood defences
Severn Stoke residents tell us their experience of being flooded. People say they are angry that a promised flood defence scheme for the village still hasn't happened, and have been talking to our reporter Tom Edwards.
The Environment Agency, which has been promising for some time now to deliver a £1.8 million flood defence scheme for Severn Stoke - say they've "paused earth works until the spring, pending agreeing an affordable price with a supplier", but add: "we have not given up, and continue to explore all options."
