New film marks life of Herefordshire family’s hero

There is an old Hebrew proverb which says that if you save one life, you save the world.

But Sir Nicholas Winton - whose family grew up in Herefordshire - saved 669 on the eve of the Second World War.

Sir Nicholas, known as Nicky to his friends and family, did his benevolent work in Czechoslovakia in the late 1930s, but his actions only really became widely known in 1988, when he was celebrated on the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ during a well-remembered episode of That's Life.

His life is now the subject of a film - in cinemas now - One Life, starring Anthony Hopkins and Helena Bonham Carter.

Tammy Gooding caught up with Nicholas' grandson Laurence who's from Herefordshire.
