Redundancies at Great Central Railway
The Great Central Railway based in Leicestershire has announced it'll be asking staff to consider voluntary redundancy blaming the cost of living crisis for affecting income.
It hopes the move will save a quarter of a million pounds. A statement cites rising heating costs and the high price of coal. It says visitors also have less money to spend.
It warns assets may have to be sold off but says the railway still has ambitious plans to grow in future
