Southend MP calls for pet abduction law
Anna Firth, the MP for Southend West is asking for the Pet Abduction Bill to be made a law so that it would be a criminal offence if a pet was stolen. The proposal has been discussed in Parliament and is backed by MPs of all parties. Chloe from Shoeburyness and her family have been left traumatised after their dog (not pictured) was stolen in 2021, but later returned following a social media campaign.
