Southampton's 'Lost Lioness' receives England cap
In 1971, England Women walked out at Mexico's Azteca Stadium for a World Cup fixture. This squad was later officially unrecognised by the Football Association due to disputes over women's rights to play football at the time. 53 years later, Louise Gardner from Southampton, finally received an England cap designed by the Football Supporters' Association, to recognise the 'Lost Lionesses' squad who played in that Mexico World Cup.
