An Amazon delivery driver has been hailed a hero after rushing to help a man injured in an explosion at a flat in Leicester.

Leicestershire Police said officers were called to a report of an explosion in Kelbrook Close, in Beaumont Leys, at 16:07 GMT on Wednesday.

A man in the property sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. The explosion blew out the windows of the property and shook the homes of nearby residents.

Amazon driver Diogo Moreira, 24, from Braunstone, rushed into the house to help the injured man inside. Diogo explains to Ady Dayman what happened.
