Boost for Elvedon Maharajah’s family museum
A museum founded by the son of the last Sikh emperor of the Punjab has been given a Heritage Lottery grant of £200,000.
The Ancient House Museum was given to the people of Thetford by Prince Frederick Duleep Singh, son of Maharajah Duleep Singh in 1924.
Nearby Elvedon Hall in Suffolk was the family home for almost a century.
Richard Daniel hears how the money will help tell their story.
