'Suffering of atomic bomb victims omitted from Oppenheimer'
Oppenheimer - the biopic of Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist behind the atomic bomb, which was dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan in 1945 - has received 13 Oscar nominations.
The film has yet to open in Japan, but it has now been announced that it will hit screens in March. Its scheduled release in December was delayed after memes mixing visuals from the film Barbie with atomic blasts provoked anger in Japan.
Yuki Miyamoto was born and grew up in Hiroshima and now teaches nuclear discourse and environmental ethics at DePaul University in Chicago. She told Weekend's Julian Worricker about her reaction to the film.
