Many homes have been in the wrong council tax band since 1991.

Martin Lewis explains how the Government put properties in a valuation band back in 1991.

Speaking to 蜜芽传媒 Radio 5 Live, he said: 鈥淭he stop-gap 1991 re-valuation that was first done in England and Scotland is still what dictates your council tax price today.鈥�

鈥淭hat鈥檚 why everybody should check their council tax band and if it鈥檚 wrong, you should challenge it.鈥�
