Thousands of homes remain without gas and there's a warning that it could take days for some homes in the Ratby and Kirby Muxloe area to have it restored.

A major incident was declared on Tuesday after a large volume of water got into the gas pipes, leaving many residents without heating.

More than 100 engineers are on site around the two villages to try and clear the water from the gas pipes and get supplies restored.
