The new series of the business reality show The Apprentice begins this week, and a Leicester DJ and producer features in the line up of candidates hoping to win the backing of Sir Alan Sugar.

Virdi Singh Mazaria appears in the long running show which begins on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½1 on Thursday. DJ Virdi wants to introduce Lord Sugar to a lucrative industry that he’s yet to invest in – music. His background as both an auditor and a producer has Virdi hoping for some hits in the boardroom.

Ahead of the show, Virdi sent Ady Dayman a voicemail message, and Guv Dillon - one of Virdi's oldest friends - told Ady that he believes Virdi has what it takes to do well in the show.
