Masters of the Air: RAF Mildenhall's WWII link

Masters of the Air on Apple TV+ is produced by Tom Hanks and Stephen Spielberg and has connections to Suffolk.

Episode three details the infamous Regensburg-Schweinfurt Raid. Part of this includes the incident in which the B-17 Flying Fortress 鈥淗IGH LIFE鈥� was downed, and the crew remained in neutral Switzerland.

Wing Commander, Col. Ryan J. Garlow of the US Airforce, who is currently based at Mildenhall, is the step-grandson of one of the crew and had a chat with Sarah Lilley.
