Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood: 'Complete shock horror whirlwind'
Nikki Speed speaks to 5 Live about her daughter Rosie, who died suddenly aged two in 2013.
Since then, Nikki set up the charity SUDC UK - the only charity in the UK that supports families who have had a sudden, unexplained death in childhood.
"She was fine the day before - scooting around the zoo and we put her to bed and walked in and she was face down", Nikki recalled from the day she found her daughter Rosie.
"We came home and we were completely abandoned, it was just a deafening silence".
Nikki now campaigns for greater support for families, through the death investigation, and for research to find out why children can die so suddenly.
She also stressed the need for "layers of support", adding "some parents are paralysed with fear for their other children".
"I was obviously very worried for my son... they're there that morning when you wake up", she finished.
