Poppy and Rubina, from the Brown Girls Do It Too podcast, admit that their podcast was an unexpeted career change for the two and were surprised by the popularity of it.

The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ podcast, that seeks to unravel cultural taboos around sex and relationships, returns for a fifth season.

"It is incredible to see the way women respond to us and they see themselves back in us because this is their stories", Poppy said.

She recalled a story when she was recognised by a passer-by.

"I remember one girl coming up to me saying 'where were you when I was 16?'", she said.

Rubina conceded it was a "very surprising trajectory".

"I was trying to make meaningful work in the media that I thought was important, the biggest impact my work and my content that has ever had is Brown Girls Do It Too", she added.
