Bow's Flowdan on being the first Grime MC Grammy winner
The first ever grime MC to win a Grammy says it's a moment that will bring fresh eyes and ears to the UK scene.
Flowdan, from Bow in East London, made history when he won best dance/electronic recording for Rumble - his 2023 collaboration with Fred Again and Skrillex.
Flowdan was a member of legendary collective Roll Deep alongside current Radio 1Xtra presenter Target. They made and distributed mixtapes and vinyl singles before being signed to a major label, and Flowdan's been credited with helping to shape decades of UK club culture.
So how does it feel to 'go mainstream', and finally be recognised on the world-stage?
Shay Kaur Grewal has been speaking to Flowdan for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio London.
