Locals are asking what鈥檚 happened to the 鈥榦nce beautiful鈥� clock.

Concrete has been laid down where once flowers grew, leading some locals to call it 鈥榯errible鈥�.

It dates back to 1935 and is now looked after by the local Lions Club who say it鈥檚 a 鈥榳ork in progress鈥�.

North Somerset Council says: 鈥淲e have asked for an urgent meeting with the Lions to understand the issues and agree a way forward.

We appreciate the hard work of the Lions volunteers over many years and look forward to finding an acceptable solution.鈥�
