What’s happened to Weston’s famous clock?

Locals are asking what’s happened to the ‘once beautiful’ clock.

Concrete has been laid down where once flowers grew, leading some locals to call it ‘terrible’.

It dates back to 1935 and is now looked after by the local Lions Club who say it’s a ‘work in progress’.

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Bristol’s Steve Yabsley spoke to locals and Kate Bach from Weston-super-Mare Lions Club.

North Somerset Council says: “We have asked for an urgent meeting with the Lions to understand the issues and agree a way forward.

We appreciate the hard work of the Lions volunteers over many years and look forward to finding an acceptable solution.â€
