"You don't need to die if you have HIV or AIDS now."
The AIDS memorial quilt was unveiled at St Mary's Guildhall after being commissioned by Coventry Pride.
It is there to remember the lives of the people in the LGBTQIA+ community who have lost their lives to the virus but also to break the stigma of HIV and AIDS and encourage people to get tested, as doing so can save their lives.
Coventry Pride's Richard Harty and HIV activist Gary Jones spoke with ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CWR's Dan Sambell about their personal experiences with the virus and the importance of awareness.
