Brandon pub floods for the eleventh time
The Royal Oak in Brandon, near Coventry, has been flooded for the eleventh time since October 2023.
The flooding followed heavy rain and storms. The pub was first flooded back in October and had to cancel New Year's Eve celebrations from a further flood. They've been desperately trying to get the damage repaired but landlady Khara Schijvers says the repeated flooding problems is seriously affecting her livelihood. The pub had hoped to reopen again after refurbishment by mid-March.
