Why an MP said there are 'no-go' areas in Tower Hamlets
A London MP and former mayoral candidate suggested there are "no-go" areas in parts of Tower Hamlets.
Paul Scully appeared on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio London criticising fellow MP Lee Anderson's remarks that Islamists had "got control" of the mayor. Mr Scully also claimed people are concerned by "neighbourhoods changing".
In a second interview, the Conservative told ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ London some people "are fearful for going out".
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ London's ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Affairs Correspondent Sonja Jessup explains why he made the comments.
***Since the time of recording, Paul Scully has apologised for the remarks. He said "I regret using language that could be misconstrued but at a time when we need to encourage moderate voices speaking up for our diverse communities, frankly my biggest regret is speaking out in the first place" ***
