The Manchester poet John Cooper Clarke may have lived with the monkey of singer Nick Drake.

The poet once lived with a monkey in London. Nick Drake once had a friend living in London who had a monkey, so Colin Murray asks whether this was the same primate?

John explained how he was looking after a monkey for a hippie who went travelling around "Kathmandu or Morocco, or one of those hippie destinations".

He was unclear whether it was the right time for Nick Drake's monkey but he still had fun nonetheless.

"There's a lot of things in life that are disappointing, living with a monkey ain't one of them.

"It seemed to be a very young monkey but how do you put an age on a monkey?

"It was very agile you know, toned up, buff ting", he joked.
