Portland carpet fitter to row the Atlantic
A carpet fitter from Portland will be swapping his usual tools for the oars of a rowing boat when he takes on a 3,000-mile ocean challenge later this year.
49-year-old Sean Phelps - a former Royal Marines Commando - will be rowing from Tenerife to Barbados in December.
He and his team are fundraising for Scotty's Little Soldiers, which supports military children who have lost a parent, and Alabaré, which helps homeless people including veterans.
Sean's been telling ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Solent's Steve Harris how he got involved.
