Great Yarmouth’s Winter Gardens to be magnificent
One of Great Yarmouth's most historic landmarks has been given a 12 million pound lottery grant. It means a total of just over 16 million pounds will be spent restoring the Winter Gardens over the next 3 years. There was a previous grant of £4m from the government. The glass and iron structure which was built in the Victorian era has been closed for the past 15 years. Now it'll get a new lease of life with community spaces, cafes and entertainment facilities. Andrew Turner finds out more.
