Balcony fall survivor opens accessible salon after struggle to access beauty treatments.
The 22-year-old Aesthetics and Nail technician was left needing to use a wheelchair after a fall from a balcony while on holiday in Thailand.
Maddi has found getting back to work and everyday salon visits increasingly difficult.
An Aesthetics and Nail technician, Maddi had always planned to open her own beauty business. But now, inspired by her own experiences, she's designed her new salon to accomodate the needs of wheelchair users by including wider nail desks, an accessible sunbed room, lower mirrors and discounts to encourage wheelchair users to treat themselves.
She spoke to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CWR’s Marian McNamee on the day the salon opened.
