Budget: 2p National Insurance cut
It’s the last Budget before the next General Election and many were waiting to hear if Chancellor Jeremy Hunt would cut taxes and go further in helping with the cost of living.
The Chancellor announced that he'll cut workers' National Insurance by another 2p in the Budget, meaning it falls from 10% to 8%, which is worth £450 a year for the average worker.
He also increases the child benefit threshold from £50,000 to £60,000.
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Lincolnshire's political reporter Sharon Edwards sums up the announcement.
