The government will formally introduce legislation today to automatically quash the convictions of sub-postmasters who were wrongly prosecuted in the Horizon IT scandal.

Those wrongly convicted will get an option to settle for 拢600,000 without the need to bring a formal claim.

A compensation scheme will also be extended, to help branch managers who were not convicted of crimes but who lost money because of the flaws in the system. Ministers hope the new law will be passed before the summer.

Julie Beisner used to run the North Kilworth Post Office and was forced to pay back money because of the faulty Horizon IT system.

She explained to Ady Dayman why she has completely lost her faith in the process.
