Building work has begun on Headingley鈥檚 historic Bear Pit. The pit was opened in the 1840鈥檚 and stayed open for two decades, before being left in ruins after visitor numbers began to dwindle. Leeds Civic Trust purchased the site in the 1960鈥檚 and have finally managed to secure funds to restore the forgotten attraction. Martin Hamilton from Leeds Civic Trust outlines the charities ideas for the site.
