Environmental enforcement officer Gary Banks has just won a Keep Britain Tidy award for his work keeping the town's streets clean. In Workington they're known affectionately as the X-men, because they spray a big yellow X on illegally dumped waste. Gary loves his job, and regularly gets stopped when he's off duty, ending up talking about dog fouling when he's only gone for the shopping.
