Mudeford man sails round 262 islands in tiny dinghy
Ken Fowler is a sailor from Mudeford who raised £75,000 for Cancer Research UK by sailing around England and Wales' 262 islands in a dinghy the size of two bath tubs.
He received the Fundraising Volunteer of the Year award at Cancer Research UK's annual Flame of Hope ceremony in Bath.
Ken lost both his father and mother-in-law to cancer, and cited their memories as the primary force which kept him going through the tribulations of his journeys.
He spoke to Radio Solent's Carl Ashwin, relieved to have completed his challenge.
