Endometriosis awareness month: Unveiling the hidden struggle
March is Endometriosis Action Month, which aims to raise awareness of the condition - helping people recognise it, and get quicker diagnosis and treatment.
Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes.
The charity Endometriosis UK says it affects 1.5 million women and those assigned female at birth, but 54% of people - and 74% of men - don't even know what it is.
Tammy Gooding speaks with Sarah Pavlovs from Bromsgrove who has endometriosis and Joanna Street, the only endometriosis specialist nurse at Worcestershire Acute Hopsitals NHS Trust.
