Forty mermaid tails to appear around East Dorset
On your travels around Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole next year, you'll be met by colourful mermaid tails installed by children's hospice charity Julia's House.
Julia's House provides end-of-life care for terminally-ill children and their families. This trail is an opportunity for a fun free day out around East Dorset, which will also raise awareness of the charity's work.
On Thursday 21st March they are launching the project, hoping to attract sponsors and artists to adorn the mermaid tails. Bournemouth artist Stuart Semple has decorated the first sculpture, which will be unveiled at Thursday's launch event.
Laura Maidment, Dorset Public Fundraising Manager for Julia's House, spoke to Radio Solent's Carl Ashwin about the trail.
