Children’s Commissioner: We need to protect children from vapes
The Children’s Commissioner for England Dame Rachel De Souza tells 5 Live Breakfast’s Rachel Burden that disposable vapes have been “marketed to kids” and are “disgusting and totally inappropriate.”
She says she’s pleased to see that legislation is coming in to ban disposable vapes in 2025, but this isn’t coming fast enough. “Let’s rocket boost it,” she said.
But the UK Vaping Industry Association says disposable vapes have “played a key role in helping millions of adults quit and stay off cigarettes.”
