Sewage Issue Affecting Oxford New Builds
There's concern that plans to build thousands of homes around Oxford will have to be put on hold - because a Thames Water sewage treatment works can't cope.
The site near the Kassam Stadium's been illegally dumping untreated sewage into the Thames for years - but in a surprise move, the Environment Agency's now objected to a planning application - saying "any new housing... will cause an unacceptable environmental risk".
