Between the 2nd and 4th of April, The Allendale Centre in Wimborne is hosting Starfest 2024, a celebration of Cranborne Chase's internationally recognised dark skies. Activities include stargazing, storytelling, creative activities and art workshops.

Cranborne Chase is the UK's only entire Area of National Beauty to have been designated a Dark Sky Reserve, due to its lack of light pollution.

Steve Tonkin is a Dark Skies Advisor to the International Dark Sky Reserve, and he spoke to Radio Solent's Steve Harris.
