The red kites stealing the tiger’s tea
Staff at Hamerton Zoo Park near Peterborough say the number of wild red kites have soared in the area, due to them stealing meat destined for its tigers, cheetahs and dingoes.
The birds of prey were nearly extinct in the UK 35 years ago, but keeper Ben McRobie says they are now almost a more common site overhead the zoo than pigeons or crows.
