Las Vegas’ famed Tropicana closes after 67 years
Built in 1957, The Tropicana Las Vegas was the city’s third oldest casino, which was once a hangout for the likes of Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong.
Newshour’s Shaun Ley asked Michael Green, Professor of History at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, to explain how the hotel gained its iconic status.
