Sports festival to honour Worcester student Tom
In 2019 Thomas Jones, from Bromsgrove, died after falling into the River Severn. He's now being immortalised by his parents to raise money for the charity that helped them.
Malcolm Boyden hears from Tom's mother Vicky Jones, and Rick Leach, from West Mercia Search and Rescue.
Vicky pays tribute to her sports-loving son, who studied at the University of Worcester. Tom took part in swimming, running, rugby and lots more across Worcestershire.
The Tom Jones Festival Of Sport will take place at Droitwich Leisure Centre in July, with proceeds raising money for the charity Vicky says did so much for Tom's family, when he went missing after falling in to the River Severn.
