Haddiscoe man: ‘Has this quarry come to haunt me?’
People living in a village on the edge of the Broads have described proposals for a new quarry as like having "a loaded gun to their heads".
The company Breedon Trading Limited has applied to Norfolk County Council to develop a 52-acre gravel pit in Haddiscoe. It would be roughly the size of 26 football pitches - and a decision's expected by the end of May. Villagers say they're worried about the potential impact of noise, dust and an increase in HGV traffic.
