Cricket legends salute Worcester’s Duncan Fearnley
Lord Ian Botham, Graham Gooch and Phil Neale pay tribute to the late bat-making pioneer, whose Worcestershire roots took the cricket world by storm.
Our reporter Matt Hutchinson spoke to well-wishers and members of the cricketing community after Duncan Fearnley's memorial service at Worcester Cathedral.
Fearnley died last month at the age of 83, following a short illness.
His equipment was used by superstar cricketers, including Lord Ian Botham, Sir Viv Richards and Allan Border.
Fearnley also played in the Worcestershire team which won the County Championship in 1964, and led the club to seven major trophies in just 12 years as chairman.
