The Women's Football Awards celebrate the best things in the world of women's football, with the inaugural awards in 2023.

Weymouth Football Club's women's team has been shortlisted for two consecutive years in the category 'Grassroots Initiative of the Year', to celebrate the work they do encouraging girls into football and growing their local game.

The category is decided by a public vote on the WFA website. Voting closes on Friday 19th April.

Captain Charlie Wilson spoke to Steve Harris, to encourage people to vote in the awards, and to seek sponsorship to enable the team to go to the awards ceremony in London on 30th May.
