Make-up artist and judge of the reality tv show Glow Up Val Garland dispels the myths around the industry.

Speaking to 5 Live Drive鈥檚 Clare McDonnell, Val said: 鈥淚t鈥檚 not just about a little rush of flush or a bit of lippy.

鈥淲e鈥檙e trying to open the doors and say: 鈥楲ook, take us seriously as a profession because we work hard, and we鈥檙e good at our jobs鈥欌��, she added.

Val went on to say: 鈥淵ou鈥檝e just got to keep believing that you can do it and not everybody鈥檚 gonna like it, but maybe one day somebody will鈥�.
