Graffiti 'nightmare' in Worcestershire
We're in Droitwich as local people say it's making a mockery of where they live. Bus shelters, park benches, underpasses, even church walls - our reporter Tom Edwards investigates.
Clive Shearman and other residents show our reporter Tom Edwards how bus shelters, park benches, underpasses - even church walls - now have paint on them.
Earlier this month West Mercia Police actually managed to catch one culprit, a teenager who was forced to clear up his own mess, by white washing the wall he'd drawn on.
We know of reports of graffiti too, in places such as Worcester, Hereford, Redditch and Bromsgrove.
We have contacted all councils across Herefordshire & Worcestershire; they say much of the graffiti is on private land, making it difficult to remove without the permission of the landowner - Wychavon District Council have called it "a criminal act that costs taxpayers money to deal with".
