Ted Lasso star runs in London Marathon for children’s cancer charity
Phil Dunster, best known for his role as Jamie Tartt from 'Ted Lasso', is taking part in the London Marathon raising money for charity.
He’s been speaking to 5 Live Breakfast about how he’s been preparing for the 26.2 mile run this weekend.
Phil is an ambassador for 'Young Lives vs Cancer' after his cousin’s four-month-old son was diagnosed with a brain tumour and died before his first birthday.
Phil said that finding out about the diagnosis was “the most confusing, painful and awful time” for the whole family.
“Within 48 hours [of the diagnosis] someone from the charity was with them and you saw first-hand what they’re able to do", he told 5 Live Breakfast.
Phil praises the charity’s work and hopes to raise £12,500 by running the London Marathon.
