Phil Dunster, best known for his role as Jamie Tartt from 'Ted Lasso', is taking part in the London Marathon raising money for charity.

He鈥檚 been speaking to 5 Live Breakfast about how he鈥檚 been preparing for the 26.2 mile run this weekend.

Phil is an ambassador for 'Young Lives vs Cancer' after his cousin鈥檚 four-month-old son was diagnosed with a brain tumour and died before his first birthday.

Phil said that finding out about the diagnosis was 鈥渢he most confusing, painful and awful time鈥� for the whole family.

鈥淲ithin 48 hours [of the diagnosis] someone from the charity was with them and you saw first-hand what they鈥檙e able to do", he told 5 Live Breakfast.

Phil praises the charity鈥檚 work and hopes to raise 拢12,500 by running the London Marathon.
