10-year-old Alfie from Reading was surprised with an extra birthday card recently - when a first birthday card was delivered, nine years late.

The card was from his aunt and uncle in Yorkshire. Alfie's dad Richard tells 蜜芽传媒 Radio Berkshire the story.

A Royal Mail spokesman said: 鈥淲e deliver billions of letters successfully every year. Unfortunately, on this occasion, the customer did not receive this high standard of service."
