Zak Khalil, who was in the prison system on three occasions, across a period of eight years, struggled to find employment after leaving prison for the last time.

He described how facial expressions would turn after revealing he has a conviction, before never hearing back. That happened 鈥渢hirty plus times鈥�, Zak said.

That was until one man, recognising the determination in Zak, decided to take him on.

"What do you want to do with yourself? Where do you see your future going? OK, we'll give you a chance", he told Zak.

Zak and his podcast co-host Jules Rowan are on their fifth series of their 鈥楲ife After Prison鈥� podcast - which offers support, advice and entertainment for others who have experience of the prison system.
